Captain Robert Coakley will take you on an unforgettable journey in his 19' Dusky Outboard to Sandy Cay where they filmed Pirates of the Caribbean. Cruising through crystal clear water, conquer the beaches and leave your footprints in the powder sand - maybe even digging up some hidden treasure. An adventure for the whole family.
Don't forget to bring some fruit or salad to feed the iguanas!
Departing from Stella Maris Marina at 9:00 am (or a little later by request), this 30 minute trip will take you across some of the most wonderful waters in the Bahamas to the site of the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean where stunning waters meet powder white sand beaches and iguanas roam free. Look out for Osprey nests and wading birds.
Bring your own lunch to eat either on the boat or beach.
Return to Stella Maris Marina at approximately 3:00 pm, contingent on how you feel!
DURATION: This full day trip starts at 9 am - or as you wish - and ends at approximately 3:00 pm.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PASSENGERS: 5
LEVEL OF PHYSICAL FITNESS NEEDED: Must be at least a moderate swimmer.
MINIMUM AGE: Although life jackets are provided, participants must be old enough and be able to swim.
WHERE TO MEET: Meeting at Stella Maris Marina.

WHAT TO BRING: Snorkel, mask and fins (can be purchased or rented from Seafarer Marine Store in Salt Pond, Under the Sun in Hamilton's), suntan lotion, swimming costume, hat, towel, lunch and beverages - oh, and some fruit to feed the Iguanas - they love lettuce! Recommended to bring: waterproof bag, waterproof camera, insect repellent.
NOTE: Shade on the boat is minimal so ensure that you are covered up and don't get burnt!
ABOUT THE TOUR OPERATOR: From the age of 10 onwards, Robert had the dream to be a part of the waters of the Bahamas. His passion for the incredible waters, marine life and habitats that surround him daily sees him not only as a certified PADI Dive Master but also a gentle guide to all those who go out with him. Born and bred on Long Island, Robert knows every waterway, sand bar and reef almost inherently and delights in sharing this knowledge. Robert lives with his wife Karin and children Robin and Calvin at Stella Maris and is actively involved in the community - notably also as a part of the local Rake and Scrape Band - "Smacky and the Boys".
