From USD 35
For arriving guests, locals and Winter Residents, often the thought of driving up to 45 minutes for simple staple items such as groceries, fish, fruit, beer or rum (yes, in the Bahamas, beer IS deemed a staple item), is simply not worth it.... why not save the hassle and let US do the schlepping. While we are busy putting together our final online order form - for now, a selection list will be provided to you! Special items will attempt to be sourced.
Please note that prices on island, by rule of thumb are 2.5 to 3 times that of being in the US. A very good example of this is a bottle of Cupcake Sauvignon Blanc that in the US woud be $8.97 but on island is $23 (inclusive of VAT). Many items simply are not available or the specific brand you may be used to not available and the nearest similar item will be offered instead. If you have any special dietary requirements (gluten free, lacto intolerance etc), please notify us. If you have an "absolute must'', we suggest you bring with you.
Whilst you should always check with Customs for specific Duty Free allowances which may change at any time, it is important to know that each incoming passenger may bring up to $100 worth of goods duty free including food items (certain restrictions apply for fruit and vegetables). Duty free alcohol is 1.5 litres.
A specific shopping and price list will be provided to anyone selecting this while we upload into the system the final list. NOTE that upon purchase the full price of the groceries by receipt will be charged to you or you may pay cash if present. This is in addition to the $35 shopping service fee. Please note that for alcohol deliveries, a waiver on the form must be agreed to by someone over the age of 18 that they are not intending to serve or provide alcohol for anyone under the legal drinking age of 18.
Think the basics - think carefuly!
